If indeed it turns out the meshes use more CPU than system ram then poly reductions may not be necessary. Though dual core CPU's were starting to become mainstream, and 2 gigs was considered to be "plenty" of memory. Regardless if any of these issues caused any memory leaks, or not these issues MUST be fixed! I am not surprised your strike craft lag you a little, because they werent touched at all I am finding out some very interesting things the more i study Original Sins itself. Therefore Sins will use only one core in multi core CPU's.

Sins of a Solar Empire: Sign in or join with: Once we are as far along in Diplomacy as we can get, then we will consider "downgrading" the mod for Entrenchment, entrenchmemt Original Sins one final time.
Other mods are more than welcome to use TSOP. This is due to hard code in the EXE.
So thanks for the effort. It is still very rough. Some loss will happen.
: Sins Of A Solar Empire Entrenchment 1.055 Patch
The point is to keep it to a minimum. So most game developers at the time didn't have to worry about hitting that dreaded 2 gig brick wall. I dont know the exact System if every Effect is just a "compilation" of some Effects that are implented already or if they add completley new ones Many of the particle textures in our opinion were way too high in resolution for the purpose that they served.
The Game runs a little bit smoother but i think there is something to do with the Airstrike Units, i'm not sure but when i enable the Cinematic Mode they lagging me much more maybe you can have an eye on that. There are some good strike craft mods that reduce the number, but maintain the balance. Quoting Major Stress, reply 6 Can someone tell me if the meshes themselves use more memory or cpu to run? I have to look over each texture both in game, and in photoshop after the nerf to make sure as little detail was lost as possible.
The UI is also a big culprit in entrencyment wasted texture space department. This combines the original e release, and the e patch into one download, and full installation. It is not as simple as just wmpire the texture sizes themselves.
The Engine Trail texture for the strike craft is x res. This is one of the main features that attracted me to Sins in the first place.
To make it look ppatch if nothing has been changed at all. Feel free to correct me if i am wrong. Reply 12 March 17, 1: Its not bad on some planets but others it really stands out.
The places which still cling to the solar or actual time are so few, and decreasing in number L6. Re-uvmapping existing models with more effeiciant textures.

Most games have an ability to load their assets "on the fly", or only as needed. That uses only a single core of your CPU. At least not yet. Starbases dont need a texture.
If it is 32, or 64 bit, or if it is Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, etc. Trinity mod Released As far as i can see thats the only issue. Stacking silar icons in the empire tree same as with disabling trade ship icons the solzr icons rendered the better.
Any assets that are loaded remain loaded throughout the entire game! The current release is just a proof of concept that it can be done with very little loss of render quality.
